Keeping Every Child safe starts with awareness, education and open conversations.
SBISD Police encourages families to talk with their children about firearm safety, including the importance of never handling a firearm and knowing what to do if they encounter one:
Never touch it.
Leave the area immediately.
Tell a trusted adult.
Take a few minutes to watch this important safety message and continue the conversation at home.

Dear BCE Families and Staff,
Don't forget to join us tonight for Family Night with the Houston Children's Museum from 5:30 pm-7 pm in the BCE gym. We'll have free games, activities, and pizza for your entire family to enjoy. We hope to see you there!
The Spring Branch Education Foundation (SBEF) brought some exciting news to campuses across SBISD, surprising teachers and staff with more than $300,000 in grants for the 2026–27 school year. We went along for the ride to capture their reactions. Thank you to the Foundation, its board and our generous community for investing in our educators and supporting our promise to inspire minds and shape lives for Every Child. Visit the SBEF website to see a complete listing of grant winners. Watch the video to share in the celebration.

Please remember that today is early dismissal. All students will dismiss at 11:35 am. Please make sure there is an adult with a blue card to meet Kindergarten bus riders at the bus stop and ensure older students know what to do when they arrive home. We will have Boys & Girls Club, and they will dismiss at their normal time.
We appreciate your cooperation.
Dear BCE families,
We hope that you can join us tomorrow, September 22nd, at 3:30 for our Title 1 and School Improvement Meeting. The meeting will be held in the BCE library, but families can also join us on Zoom. We will discuss the Title 1 program and school accountability goals for the 2026-27 school year.

Twenty-five years later, we remember.
Today, we honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the bravery of the first responders and everyday heroes who answered the call.
