Kindergarten students at Buffalo Creek begin a journey of learning in an atmosphere where "students love to learn and teachers love to teach!" The Kindergarten teachers at Buffalo Creek have over 20 years of combined teaching experience.
Kindergarten students participate in developmentally appropriate educational hands-on experiences in a non-threatening, child-centered environment that addresses their social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs. The curriculum is integrated allowing the students to learn reading, writing, math, science, and social studies skills as they explore a variety of themes and interact in centers of learning. Through small group activities, students practice cooperative learning and problem solving skills. Kindergarten students go to Art, Music and Health Fitness daily in a rotation, and also visit the Library once a week.
